Description

The FortiNDR-3600G is an on-premises network detection and response appliance that runs in Center mode only. It centrally manages up to 50 physical or virtual FortiNDR sensors and provides global query and investigation across all of them. It is fully populated with 12x hot-swappable HDD (176TB total) and has 4x 10GbE SFP+ ports, and is supplied as hardware only with no FortiCare bundle.

AI and machine learning analysis of network metadata helps detect anomalies and zero-day malware, including east-west traffic. Because analysis stays on-premises, the 3600G suits government, air-gapped, military and OT environments. Physical or virtual sensors must be purchased separately to feed this Center appliance.

Warranty

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.

Q: Does the FNR-3600G include sensors?
A: No. It runs in Center mode only and sensors must be purchased separately. It can manage up to 50 physical or virtual FortiNDR sensors.

Q: Can the FNR-3600G capture traffic directly from a SPAN port?
A: No. It does not support sniffer, SPAN or 802.1q capture. Traffic is collected by the sensors, and the 3600G provides central management, query and investigation.

Q: Are SFP+ transceivers included?
A: No. The four 10GbE SFP+ ports ship without transceivers, so suitable modules must be purchased separately.

Q: How much storage does it have?
A: It is fully populated with 12x hot-swappable HDD for 176 TB total, configured with RAID 5 by default.
