Description

The FortiNDR Cloud 900G is a large 1U network detection and response sensor that captures network traffic and delivers metadata to the FortiNDR Cloud SaaS platform. It is a hardware-only large sensor (900G) with 2x 10/25GbE SFP28, 4x 1GbE RJ45 and 2x 10GbE RJ45 interfaces, and can process up to 18 Gbps of enterprise-mix traffic across all ports.

Built for rack deployment, the sensor supports sniffer, SPAN and 802.1q capture, with two 1.6TB removable drives in RAID 1 and redundant hot-swappable power supplies. Hash lookups use Virus Total and the FortiGuard Malware Feed. Transceivers are purchased separately, and a sensor support subscription (FC-10-NDR9G-247-02-DD) is required.

Warranty

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.

Q: Does the FNRC-900G include support or a licence?
A: No. This SKU is hardware only. A sensor support subscription (FC-10-NDR9G-247-02-DD) must be purchased separately.

Q: Are SFP28 transceivers included?
A: No. Transceivers are purchased separately. The 10/25GbE SFP28 ports accept SFP+ SR/LR modules for 10Gbps and SFP28 SR modules for 25Gbps.

A: It delivers NDR sniffer throughput of 18 Gbps (enterprise mix) across all ports.
