Description

The UFiber Active Ethernet media converter is a compact fibre-to-copper converter that lets equipment without SFP ports use fibre uplinks of up to 1 Gbps. It provides 1x SFP port and 1x 10/100/1000 Mbps GbE RJ45 port, and is powered by 802.3af PoE or 24V passive PoE, so no separate power adapter is needed when fed from a suitable PoE source.

The converter works with UFiber SFP modules (modules not included) and suits ISPs delivering active fibre to a customer's premises. Its compact UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure supports an operating range of -40 to 60 C, with a wall-mounting bracket included and LEDs for Ethernet, optical signal and power status.
