Description

The OBU-102-SS-SC is a 2-channel optical fibre bypass unit that sits between a network node and the network, keeping fibre traffic flowing to the next node if the node loses power or fails. This single-mode model provides four SC female connectors and supports Fast, Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet fibre connections, making it a practical way to protect linear topologies from a single point of failure.

Optical switching time is 10 ms maximum with insertion loss of 1.6 dB maximum. Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs with reverse polarity protection and a rotary boot delay switch suit industrial deployments, while the IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail and operates from -20 to 70°C.
