Description

The TCF-90-S-ST is an industrial RS-232 to single-mode fibre converter with an ST connector, designed to extend serial links up to 40 km over G.652 single-mode fibre at 1310 nm. It is port powered from the serial connection via a 5 to 12 VDC power input jack, supports baudrates from 300 bps to 115.2 kbps, and provides a 20 dB link budget for reliable long-distance serial communication.

By converting RS-232 to fibre, the converter extends serial transmission distance and provides electrical isolation from noise in demanding environments. The compact plastic IP30 desktop housing measures 42 x 80 x 22 mm and weighs 150 g, and the unit includes overload current protection and a 5-year warranty.
