Description

The Moxa TCF-142-S-ST is an industrial RS-232/422/485 to single-mode fibre converter with an ST connector, built to extend serial transmission up to 40 km. It supports both ring and point-to-point topologies, making it well suited to long-distance serial links in factory automation, utilities and transport installations. This variant is the single-mode, ST connector model rated for 0 to 60°C operation.

Two serial ports support RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 at baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, with automatic baudrate detection. Fibre transmission isolates the serial link from electrical interference and chemical corrosion, and the compact IP30 metal housing accepts a wide 12 to 48 VDC power input with overload and reverse polarity protection.
