Description

The TCF-142-S-ST-RM is a serial-to-fiber converter that carries RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 signals over single-mode optical fibre with an ST connector. Built as a slide-in module for the Moxa NRack system, it extends serial links up to 40 km and gives industrial serial networks strong immunity to electrical noise.

It supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps including non-standard rates, and uses automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485 so no flow control configuration is needed. The metal IP30 housing suits rack-based deployments in industrial and telecommunications environments.
