Description

The Moxa TCF-142-S-SC-RM is a serial to fibre converter for industrial networks, converting RS-232/422/485 signals to single-mode fibre over an SC connector. It extends serial transmission up to 40 km, making it well suited to long-distance serial links in factories, utilities and transport infrastructure, with support for both ring and point-to-point topologies.

Designed as a slide-in module for the Moxa NRack system, it works with the TRC-190 chassis for centralised rack-mount deployment. The module offers 2 serial ports, baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps including non-standard rates, ADDC for RS-485, and an adjustable pull high/low resistor in a compact metal IP30 housing.
