Description

The TCC-100I is an industrial RS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converter that extends transmission distance and supports both 2-wire and 4-wire RS-485. It adds 2 kV isolation protection, making it well suited to industrial automation, building management and field equipment where electrical noise and ground loops can disrupt serial links. This standard temperature model operates from -20 to 60°C.

The converter uses plug-in terminal block wiring and supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, including non-standard rates. Automatic data direction control removes the need for software handling of RS-485 direction, and the compact metal housing mounts on a DIN rail (optional kit) or a wall. It runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply and includes LED indicators for power, Tx and Rx.
