Description

The TCC-100 RS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converter extends serial transmission in industrial environments by converting RS-232 signals to RS-422 or 2-wire/4-wire RS-485. This non-isolated, standard temperature model suits control cabinets and equipment racks where reliable serial links over longer distances are needed, and it supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps. Automatic data direction control (ADDC) removes the need for manual direction switching on RS-485 lines.

The metal IP30 housing and terminal-block wiring suit rugged installations, and the converter runs from a wide 12 to 48 VDC input with overload current protection. It mounts on a wall, or on a DIN rail using the optional kit, and operates from -20 to 60 °C. It belongs to the TCC-100/100I range, and this is the standard model without electrical isolation.
