Description

The Moxa MGate MB3470-G2 is a 4-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII serial devices and Modbus TCP networks. It provides four software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports on DB9 male connectors and two 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet ports that can be configured for Ethernet cascade or dual-subnet operation. This standard temperature, non-isolated model operates from -10 to 60 C.

The gateway supports Modbus TCP client and server operation with up to 32 connections each in transparent mode, and handles function codes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 16 and 23. Management is available through a web console, Device Search Utility, MXview One and MXconfig, with HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3 for secure access. A 12 to 48 VDC input, IP30 metal housing and hazardous location approvals suit it to industrial control cabinets and DIN-rail installations.
