Description

The Moxa MGate MB3270I is a 2-port Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII, linking serial devices to Ethernet networks. Its two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports include 2 kV isolation, and the unit is rated for operation from 0 to 60°C, making it well suited to protecting serial equipment on industrial sites.

The gateway connects up to 32 Modbus TCP servers and up to 62 Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves, and can be accessed by up to 32 Modbus TCP clients. A serial redirector mode supports direct Modbus serial master to serial slave communication, while built-in Ethernet cascading with two RJ45 ports simplifies wiring. It mounts on a DIN rail and runs from 12 to 48 VDC.
