Description

The MGate MB3270-T is a 2-port Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, RTU and ASCII, and also supports serial master to serial slave communication. Two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports on DB9 connectors and two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports with built-in cascading make it a good fit for connecting serial Modbus devices to an Ethernet network. This -T model operates from -40 to 75°C for harsh and outdoor industrial environments.

The gateway supports 32 client connections and 32 server connections, with flexible routing by TCP port, IP address or ID mapping. Emergency request tunnels give priority control for urgent commands, and embedded Modbus traffic monitoring simplifies troubleshooting. It runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply via a 7-pin terminal block in a compact IP30 plastic housing.
