Description

The Moxa MGate MB3270-G2 is a 2-port advanced serial-to-Ethernet Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, RTU and ASCII, including proprietary serial Modbus variants. It provides 2 x RJ45 10/100 Ethernet ports and 2 x DB9 male software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports, with no serial isolation, and operates across a -10 to 60°C temperature range.

Agent mode actively polls connected Modbus devices and caches data for high-performance, low-latency communication, while Ethernet cascading or dual subnet operation supports flexible network design. Built-in Modbus test tools, traffic monitoring and diagnostics simplify commissioning and troubleshooting, and redundant dual DC power inputs with a relay output suit industrial control cabinets.
