Description

The MGate MB3170I-T is a 1-port industrial Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, linking serial devices to Ethernet networks. It provides one software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port with 2 kV isolation, two 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet ports with built-in cascading, and a wide -40 to 75°C operating range for harsh industrial environments.

Up to 32 Modbus TCP clients can connect to the gateway, which in turn can reach up to 32 Modbus TCP servers. Auto Device Routing simplifies configuration, and the serial redirector function lets serial and TCP masters access serial slaves at the same time. Redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, a relay output and DIN-rail mounting suit control cabinets and demanding plant installations.
