Description

The MGate MB3170I-S-SC-T is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII. This variant adds a 100BaseFX single-mode fibre Ethernet port with an SC connector, 2 kV serial magnetic isolation and a -40 to 75°C wide operating temperature range, making it suited to long-distance, electrically noisy industrial sites.

A single software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port lets serial Modbus devices be reached by up to 32 TCP masters, or lets the gateway poll up to 32 TCP slaves. Auto-Device Routing, Ethernet cascading and a built-in Modbus traffic monitor simplify configuration and troubleshooting, while the DIN-rail mountable IP30 housing runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply.
