Description

The MGate MB3170I-S-SC is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that bridges Modbus TCP networks and Modbus RTU/ASCII serial devices. This variant adds a single-mode 100BaseFX fibre port with SC connectors for long-distance Ethernet links of up to 40 km typical, along with 2 kV serial isolation and an operating range of 0 to 60°C.

The gateway supports up to 32 Modbus TCP client and 32 server connections, with two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports for Ethernet cascading and a software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port. Security functions include HTTPS (TLS 1.2), SNMPv3 and AES encryption, and the unit carries hazardous location (ATEX, Class I Division 2, IECEx) and DNV maritime approvals.
