Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170I-G2-T is a 1-port industrial Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, RTU, ASCII and proprietary serial Modbus. It provides a software-selectable RS-232/422/485 DB9 serial port with 2 kV isolation, two RJ45 Ethernet ports and a -40 to 75°C wide-temperature rating, making it well suited to harsh factory, utility and plant environments.

A high-performing agent mode actively polls Modbus devices and caches data for low-latency responses, while Auto Device Routing simplifies configuration. Redundant dual DC power inputs and a relay output support dependable, always-on deployments, and the two Ethernet ports can be set for Ethernet cascade or dual subnet operation.
