Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170I-G2 is a 1-port Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII and Modbus TCP, linking serial devices to Ethernet networks. It provides two RJ45 Ethernet ports and a software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port on a DB9 male connector with 2 kV isolation, in a metal IP30 housing rated for -10 to 60°C operation.

The gateway supports Modbus RTU/ASCII and Modbus TCP in both client and server roles, with up to 32 client and 32 server connections. Dual Ethernet ports can be configured for cascading or dual subnets, and redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs with a relay output suit industrial control cabinets. Built-in Modbus test and diagnostic tools help with commissioning and troubleshooting. Part of the MGate MB3000 G2 range.
