Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-SFP-G2-T is a 1-port Modbus TCP gateway with 1 x RJ45 + 1 x SFP Ethernet connectivity and wide-temperature operation from -40 to 75°C. It converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, linking serial RS-232/422/485 devices to Ethernet-based SCADA and control systems in factory, utility and outdoor installations.

The SFP slot lets you choose a transceiver to suit the fibre type and distance, while the DB9 serial port supports baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps. Agent mode with cached polling helps improve SCADA performance, and redundant dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs with a relay output support dependable operation. Web console configuration includes built-in diagnostics and Modbus traffic monitoring, with HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3 for secure management.
