Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-SFP-G2 is a Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII and Modbus TCP. It provides one software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port and dual Ethernet connectivity with one RJ45 port and one 100BaseFX SFP slot, making it suited to industrial sites that need fibre or copper links to serial Modbus devices. This standard temperature model operates from -10 to 60°C.

Agent mode supports both Client (Master) and Server (Slave) operation on the serial and Ethernet sides, with up to 32 Modbus TCP client and 32 server connections. Secure management is supported through HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3, and the metal IP30 housing with DIN-rail mounting suits control cabinet installation.
