Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-M-ST-G2-T is a Modbus TCP gateway with 1 RS-232/422/485 serial port, a multi-mode ST fibre Ethernet port and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C. It converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII and Modbus TCP, acting as client or server on either side, so serial field devices can be connected to Ethernet networks with a single compact unit.

The gateway pairs a 100BaseFX multi-mode ST fibre port with a 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port, which can be used for Ethernet cascade or dual-subnet configurations. A metal IP30 housing, 12 to 48 VDC input and a DB9 male serial connector suit industrial cabinets and harsh environments. Configuration is available through a web console, Device Search Utility, MXconfig and MXview One.
