Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-M-ST-G2 is a 1-port advanced Modbus serial-to-Ethernet gateway that converts Modbus RTU/ASCII to Modbus TCP. This variant pairs one 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port with one 100BaseFX multi-mode ST fibre port and a single DB9 RS-232/422/485 serial port, with an operating range of -10 to 60°C. It suits industrial automation and SCADA deployments that need to integrate serial Modbus devices onto an Ethernet network over copper or fibre.

The dual Ethernet ports allow cascade or redundant network designs, while built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation and surge protection help protect equipment in electrically noisy environments.
