Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-M-SC-G2-T is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII serial devices and Modbus TCP networks. It pairs one RJ45 port with one multi-mode SC fibre Ethernet port and a DB9 software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port, and its wide -40 to 75°C operating range suits harsh industrial cabinets and outdoor enclosures.

The gateway supports Modbus TCP Client/Server and Modbus RTU/ASCII Client/Server with up to 32 client and 32 server connections, plus Agent mode with tag and command mapping. Security functions include HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3, configuration is available through a web console and Moxa utilities, and the metal IP30 housing accepts a 12 to 48 VDC input.
