Description

The MGate MB3170-G2-T is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, including proprietary and extended serial Modbus. It provides two 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet ports and one software-selectable RS-232/422/485 DB9 serial port without serial isolation, and the -T model is rated for operation from -40 to 75°C, making it well suited to industrial automation, energy and field-site deployments.

Agent mode actively polls Modbus devices and caches data for high performance and low latency, while Auto Device Routing simplifies configuration. The metal IP30 housing accepts 12 to 48 VDC with redundant dual power inputs and a relay output, and the gateway complies with IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 requirements for secure operation in connected plant networks.
