Description

The Moxa MGate EIP3170 is a 1-port EtherNet/IP to DF1 protocol gateway that lets Allen-Bradley and Rockwell PLCs communicate with legacy serial devices over an EtherNet/IP network. This standard temperature model operates from 0 to 60°C and provides one RS-232/422 serial port, two 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports and 12 to 48 VDC power input in an IP30 housing.

The gateway converts between EtherNet/IP (PCCC) and serial DF1, supports up to 8 simultaneous client connections, and is configured through the MGate Manager Windows utility or a Telnet console. Redundant dual DC power inputs and built-in Ethernet cascading simplify installation, while the integrated EtherNet/IP and DF1 traffic monitor assists with troubleshooting.
