Description

The MGate 5217I-600-T is a 600-point Modbus to BACnet/IP gateway that converts Modbus RTU, ASCII and TCP devices into BACnet/IP for integration with building management systems. It provides 2 x RS-232/422/485 serial ports and 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, with 2 kV serial isolation and a -40 to 75°C operating range for harsh industrial and building plant environments.

Virtual nodes let each Modbus device appear as a separate BACnet/IP device, and the embedded Modbus and BACnet/IP traffic monitor simplifies commissioning and troubleshooting. Dual AC/DC power input (12 to 48 VDC or 24 VAC), built-in Ethernet cascading and security features based on IEC 62443 make it a practical choice for HVAC, energy and process automation projects.
