Description

The Moxa MGate 5216-T is a 2-port serial/Modbus-to-EtherCAT protocol gateway that converts data between Modbus RTU/ASCII, proprietary serial protocols and EtherCAT. This -T model is rated for -40 to 75°C operation, making it suited to cold stores, outdoor cabinets and unconditioned plant rooms where the standard 0 to 60°C MGate 5216 would not be suitable.

It acts as an EtherCAT slave, so existing Modbus and serial devices can join EtherCAT networks without being replaced. Two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports, dual 10/100 Ethernet ports, 2 kV serial isolation, dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs and a rugged IP30 metal housing with DIN-rail mounting make it a dependable choice for industrial automation deployments.
