Description

The Moxa MGate 5123 is a 1-port CAN-to-PROFINET protocol gateway that converts CANopen, J1939 and proprietary CAN (CAN 2.0A/B) networks to PROFINET. It operates as a PROFINET IO device (Class B), letting PROFINET controllers exchange data with CAN-based machinery, vehicles and drives. This standard model operates from -10 to 60°C and features a metal IP30 housing for control cabinet installation.

The gateway provides two 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, a CAN port with 2-kV isolation protection, dual redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs and a relay output. Configuration is handled through a web-based console, and a microSD slot supports configuration backup and duplication. Embedded traffic monitoring and diagnostic information simplify commissioning and troubleshooting, while security features such as HTTPS, secure boot and SNMPv3 help protect industrial networks.
