Description

The MGate 5119-T is an industrial IEC 61850 protocol gateway with 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports and 1 x RS-232/422/485 serial port. It connects Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 devices to an IEC 61850 MMS network, and this wide-temperature model operates from -40 to 75°C for harsh substation and utility environments.

Supporting up to 1,200 data points and compliant with IEC 61850-3 Ed. 2.0 and IEEE 1613, the gateway includes a built-in SCL file generator for simplified configuration, embedded traffic monitoring for troubleshooting, and Ethernet cascading for easy wiring. A 2 kV isolated serial port, HTTPS (TLS 1.3) and security features based on IEC 62443 and NERC CIP support reliable, secure deployments in power automation systems.
