Description

The Moxa MGate 4101I-MB-PBS is a 1-port Modbus to PROFIBUS DP slave protocol gateway that lets Modbus RTU/ASCII serial devices connect to PROFIBUS PLCs such as the Siemens S300/S400. This -I model adds 2 kV isolation on the serial signals and is the standard-temperature version, rated for 0 to 60°C operation.

The serial port is software-selectable between RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, and the unit accepts redundant dual DC power inputs from 12 to 48 VDC. A relay output provides power-off warning, and enhanced surge protection on the serial and power connections suits industrial control cabinets. Configuration is handled through a Windows utility with automatic configuration, via an RJ45 RS-232 console port.
