Description

The Moxa IMC-21A-M-SC is an industrial media converter that links a 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 copper port to a 100BaseFX multi-mode fibre port with an SC connector. It suits factory floors, utility cabinets and other harsh environments where copper Ethernet needs to be extended over fibre, with a typical multi-mode reach of 4 km at 1300 nm and an operating range of -10 to 60°C.

Built in a rugged IP30 metal housing with DIN-rail mounting, it runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply via a terminal block and includes overload current protection and 1.5 kV magnetic isolation. DIP switches let you select full or half duplex, 10 or 100 Mbps, auto-negotiation or forced modes, and Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT) helps surface link failures across the connection.
