Description

The ICF-1180I PROFIBUS-to-fiber converter carries PROFIBUS DP signals over multi-mode fibre with an ST connector, extending segment reach up to 4 km in industrial plants and field installations. This wide-temperature variant operates from -40 to 75°C, making it suited to unheated cabinets, outdoor enclosures and harsh factory environments where PROFIBUS cabling needs to be isolated from electrical noise.

It auto-detects the baudrate from 9600 bps to 12 Mbps, provides 2 kV built-in isolation, and includes dual redundant power inputs from 12 to 48 VDC. A fibre-cable test function, relay output for warnings and alerts, and PROFIBUS fail-safe behaviour help maintain network integrity, while hazardous location and maritime approvals support deployment in demanding sectors.
