Description

The Moxa ICF-1170I-M-ST-T is an industrial CAN bus to fibre media converter with a multi-mode ST connector and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C. It carries CAN signals over optical fibre up to 2 km at baudrates up to 1 Mbps, is compatible with ISO 11898, and provides 2 kV optical isolation to protect CAN networks from noise and ground loops in factory, rail, mining and energy environments.

Dual redundant 12-48 V power inputs with an alarm relay contact support high-availability installations, while DIP switches allow 120 ohm terminal resistance and a fibre test mode to verify the link between two ICF-1170I units. The DIN-rail mountable IP30 housing and front-panel LEDs for fibre Tx, fibre Rx, Power 1 and Power 2 make installation and troubleshooting straightforward.

Features

- Converts CAN signals to fibre and fibre to CAN signals
- Dual power inputs for redundancy
- DIP switch for 120 ohm terminal resistance
- DIP switch for fibre test mode
- LEDs for Fibre Tx, Fibre Rx, Power 1, Power 2
- Fibre test mode to verify the fibre link between two ICF-1170I units
