Description

The Moxa ICF-1170I-M-ST is an industrial CAN-to-fiber converter that carries CAN bus signals over optical fibre, extending CAN networks beyond copper distance limits and providing 2 kV optical isolation. This model has a multi-mode 100BaseFX fibre port with an ST connector and a standard 0 to 60°C operating temperature range.

It supports CAN baudrates up to 1 Mbps and is fully compatible with ISO 11898. Dual power inputs with a relay alarm contact provide redundancy, and the DIN-rail, IP30 housing suits control cabinets in factory automation and other industrial environments. DIP switches allow 120 ohm terminal resistance and a fibre test mode to be set on site.

Features

- Converts CAN signals to fibre and fibre to CAN signals
- Transmits data up to 2 km over optical fibre
- 2 kV optical isolation
- Dual power inputs for redundancy, with alarm contact relay
- DIP switch for 120 ohm terminal resistance
- DIP switch for fibre test mode
- LEDs for Fibre Tx, Fibre Rx, Power 1 and Power 2
