Description

The ICF-1150I-S-ST-IEX is an industrial serial to single-mode fibre converter that carries RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 signals over fibre with an ST connector. Single-mode fibre extends serial transmission up to 40 km, 2 kV isolation protects connected equipment, and IECEx hazardous-location approval suits installations in potentially explosive environments. It operates across 0 to 60°C.

The converter provides two serial ports with automatic data direction control for RS-485, so no manual direction switching is needed. It supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, including non-standard baudrates, and runs from a 12 to 48 VDC input. A metal IP30 housing with DIN-rail mounting suits control cabinets, and the unit also carries ATEX Zone 2 and UL Class I Division 2 approvals.

Features

- Single-mode fibre extends serial transmission up to 40 km
- 2 kV galvanic isolation protects connected serial devices
- Automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485
- Supports non-standard baudrates
- Hazardous-location certified: IECEx, ATEX Zone 2, Class I Division 2
- Overload current protection on the power input
- Metal DIN-rail housing suited to industrial cabinets
