Description

The ICF-1150I-M-ST is an industrial RS-232/422/485 to multi-mode fibre converter with an ST connector, built to extend serial transmission up to 5 km over 50/125 or 62.5/125 micrometre fibre. It provides 2 kV isolation protection, operates from 0 to 60°C and mounts on a DIN rail in a rugged metal IP30 housing, making it well suited to factory automation, building and plant serial networks that need noise immunity over distance.

The two serial ports and the fibre port are completely independent. RS-232 is presented on a DB9 female connector and RS-422/485 on a removable 5-pin terminal block. A rotary switch adjusts the RS-485 pull high/low resistor value, ADDC provides automatic data direction control, and baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps are supported, including non-standard rates. Power is supplied from a 12 to 48 VDC input with overload current protection.
