Description

The ICF-1150 serial-to-fibre converter with multi-mode ST connector extends RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial links over fibre for up to 5 km. It provides 2 kV isolation and IECEx certification, making it suited to industrial automation, process control and hazardous-location installations where electrical noise and ground loops threaten serial communications. This variant covers 0 to 60 C operating temperatures.

The converter supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps with automatic data direction control for RS-485, and accepts 12 to 48 VDC power. A rotary switch adjusts the pull high/low resistor value, and the IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail. It also carries ATEX Zone 2 and UL Class I Division 2 approvals for harsh industrial environments.
