Description

The ICF-1150 industrial serial-to-fibre converter transforms RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 signals to multi-mode fibre over an SC connector, extending serial links up to a typical 5 km at 850 nm. This multi-mode SC model adds 2 kV isolation and IECEx hazardous-location certification, and is rated for operation from -40 to 85°C, suited to harsh industrial and hazardous-area deployments.

The converter features automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485, baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps including non-standard rates, and a 12 to 48 VDC power input with overload current protection. Its IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail, and it also carries ATEX Zone 2 and UL/cUL Class I Division 2 approvals for installation in classified environments.
