Description

The Moxa ICF-1150I-M-SC is an industrial serial-to-fiber converter that links RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial signals to a multi-mode fibre port with an SC connector. It extends serial transmission up to 5 km over 850 nm multi-mode fibre, and as an I model it adds 2 kV isolation for improved noise immunity and operates from 0 to 60°C.

The converter provides a DB9 port for RS-232 and a 5-pin terminal block for RS-422/RS-485, with automatic data direction control for RS-485 and a rotary switch to set the pull high/low resistor value. It is powered from 12 to 48 VDC with overload current protection and mounts on a DIN rail in a rugged IP30 metal housing, making it well suited to factory automation and remote serial device connectivity.
