Description

The ICF-1150 industrial serial-to-fibre converter carries RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 signals over single-mode fibre with an ST connector, extending serial links up to 40 km. This wide-temperature model operates from -40 to 85°C and is non-isolated, making it a good fit for remote plant, utility and transport deployments where long cable runs and electrical noise rule out copper.

The converter provides a DB9 female RS-232 port and a 5-pin terminal block for RS-422/485, with baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps and automatic data direction control for RS-485. A rotary switch adjusts the pull high/low resistor value, and the metal IP30 housing mounts on a DIN rail with a 12 to 48 VDC input. Hazardous location approvals include UL/cUL Class I Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2.
