Description

The Moxa ICF-1150-S-ST is a DIN-rail serial-to-fiber converter that carries RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 signals over single-mode fibre with an ST connector. It extends serial transmission up to 40 km, making it a practical choice for linking serial devices across large sites, plants and campuses. This standard-temperature model operates from 0 to 60°C, has no electrical isolation and is not IECEx certified.

The converter provides two serial ports (a DB9 female for RS-232 and a 5-pin terminal block for RS-422/485) and one fibre port, all fully independent. A rotary switch adjusts the pull high/low resistor value without removing the unit from the DIN rail, and automatic data direction control simplifies RS-485 wiring. A metal IP30 housing and a 12 to 48 VDC input suit industrial control cabinets.
