Description

The Moxa ICF-1150-S-ST-IEX is an industrial serial-to-fiber converter that links RS-232/422/485 serial devices over single-mode fibre using an ST connector. It carries serial data up to a typical 40 km at 1310 nm, and is approved for hazardous locations with IECEx, ATEX Zone 2 and UL/cUL Class I Division 2 certification. This standard-temperature, non-isolated model operates from 0 to 60°C.

Built for DIN-rail installation in a rugged IP30 metal housing, the converter supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps and includes automatic data direction control for RS-485. Configurable pull high/low resistors and a selectable terminator make it straightforward to deploy in industrial automation, process control and remote monitoring networks where serial links need to span long distances or resist electrical interference.
