Description

The Moxa ICF-1150-S-SC-T is an industrial serial to fibre converter that carries RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 signals over a single-mode fibre link with an SC connector, extending serial transmission up to 40 km. This is the wide-temperature model rated for -40 to 85°C and does not include 2 kV isolation, making it suited to serial device networks in harsh industrial sites, substations and remote cabinets.

The converter provides two independent serial ports (RS-232 via DB9, RS-422/485 via a 5-pin terminal block) and one single-mode fibre port. A rotary switch adjusts the RS-485 pull high/low resistor value without removing the unit from the DIN rail, and automatic data direction control simplifies RS-485 wiring. It runs from 12 to 48 VDC and is certified for C1D2, ATEX and IECEx environments.
