Description

The Moxa ICF-1150-M-SC is an industrial serial-to-fiber converter that carries RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 signals over multi-mode fiber with an SC connector. Built for the standard 0 to 60°C operating range, it extends serial transmission up to 5 km over 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm cable, making it well suited to factory floors, utilities and other electrically noisy environments where copper serial runs are limited.

Two serial ports on a 5-pin terminal block support non-standard baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps. A rotary switch sets the RS-485 pull high/low resistor during onsite installation, and automatic data direction control removes the need for manual RS-485 flow control. DIN-rail mounting and a 12 to 48 VDC power input suit industrial cabinet installations.
