Description

The Moxa EDS-208A-SS-SC is a compact 8-port industrial unmanaged Ethernet switch with 6 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX single-mode SC fibre ports. The single-mode fibre uplinks reach up to 40 km, making it well suited to linking remote cabinets, field equipment and control rooms over long fibre runs. It operates across a -10 to 60°C range and installs on a DIN rail inside an IP30 aluminium housing.

Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs (9.6 to 60 VDC operating range) keep the switch running if one supply fails, with overload current and reverse polarity protection built in. A DIP switch enables broadcast storm protection, and the rugged design suits hazardous locations (Class 1 Div. 2 / ATEX Zone 2). The EDS-208A series needs no configuration, so it is a straightforward drop-in choice for industrial automation and process networks.
