Description

The Moxa A53-DB9F w/o Adapter is an entry-level RS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converter with 2 kV optical isolation on the RS-422/485 side. It suits industrial serial links where long cable runs, electrical noise and ground loops put communication reliability at risk. This variant ships with a DB9F cable and without a power adapter, so it can be powered from a terminal block or a separately sourced supply.

Automatic data direction control and automatic baudrate detection remove the need for manual switch configuration on RS-485 links. Built-in 120 ohm termination resistors, RTS/CTS flow control and TVS and ESD surge protection help keep multidrop networks of up to 32 nodes stable over distances of up to 1.2 km. The Transio A52/A53 Series is designed for compact, reliable serial connectivity in automation and monitoring installations.
