Description

The Moxa A52-DB9F w/o Adapter is an entry-level RS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converter from the Transio A52/A53 Series. It extends serial transmission distance and supports RS-485 multidrop operation of up to 32 nodes over distances of up to 1.2 km. This variant ships with a DB9F cable and without a power adapter, so it suits sites that already have a suitable 9 to 30 VDC supply.

Automatic data direction control (ADDC) removes the need for manual RS-485 direction handling, while automatic baudrate detection and RTS/CTS flow control simplify integration with industrial serial devices. The compact IP30 plastic housing is built for desktop installation, and 25 kV ESD surge protection helps protect connected equipment.
