Description

The FortiSandbox 500G is a 1RU on-premises sandboxing appliance for small and mid-sized businesses, combining AI-driven static analysis with dynamic behavioural analysis to detect evasive and zero-day malware. This SKU includes 2 Universal VMs, expandable to a maximum of 14 local and 80 cloud VMs, and ships with 1x Windows 11, 1x Windows 10 and 1x Office 2021 guest VM licences. It provides 4x GE RJ45 ports and 960 GB of storage.

The 500G delivers 10,000 files per hour of effective sandboxing throughput and 750 files per hour of dynamic analysis throughput. It integrates natively with the Fortinet Security Fabric, including FortiGate, FortiMail, FortiWeb, FortiADC, FortiProxy and FortiClient, so suspicious files from email, endpoints, web traffic, network shares and the network edge can be submitted for inspection. It is the successor to the FortiSandbox 500F.

Warranty

Fortinet provides robust warranty coverage for its hardware and software products, with durations and terms based on product category:
• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
