Description

The FortiGate 7040E-DC is a DC-powered, 6 RU, four-slot rack-mount firewall chassis from the FortiGate 7000E Series, built for data centre, carrier and hyperscale deployments. This chassis bundle includes the system management module (shelf manager), 3x fan modules and 3x DC PSUs, and accepts two Fortinet Processor Modules (FPM) and two Fortinet Interface Modules (FIM). The FPM and FIM modules are sold separately.

A fully populated system is rated for up to 315 Gbps of firewall throughput, 160 million concurrent TCP sessions and 950,000 new sessions per second. It runs FortiOS with SPU acceleration, real-time SSL inspection including TLS 1.3, Secure SD-WAN, ZTNA enforcement and carrier-grade NAT, with support for up to 500 virtual domains and Active-Active, Active-Passive or clustered high availability.

• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
